This Isn't the First Time

This isn't the first time Diamonds or above have left Amway. Bo Short thought it was Dexter Yager's tool system, Internet Services. He tried to change that, but that was only half the story. TEAM improved the tool system dramatically. But Quixtar was still shipping highly priced products.

If you know of any other Diamonds (or above) that have left for similar reasons, please post below. Also, if you know the pin level of the unknowns below, please post a comment. And finally, if you know anything about JR Ridinger, when he left, what his reasons were, etc., please post a comment.

JR Ridinger - Double Diamond
Left ???

Bo Short - Diamond
Andy Andrews - Diamond
Left October 2001
Timeline

Don Storms - Crown Ambassadors
Left 2002?
Don and Ruth Storms (Crown Ambassadors, and I was there when they were recognized for that honor) were with both Manatech and Quixtar when the "non compete" rule went into effect. 90 days after receiving their Crown Ambassadorship, they received their termination papers, with NO warning, due to the "non compete" rule. They are now at a high level with Manatech.

The following left in August 2007
Orrin Woodward - EDC
Chris Brady - Diamond
Randy Haugen - Double Diamond
Don Wilson - Double Diamond
Billy Florence - Diamond
Tim Marks - Diamond
Chuck Goetschel - Diamond
Chuck Cullen -Sapphire?
Kirk Birtles - Sapphire?
Jim Martin - Sapphire?
Aron Radosa - Sapphire?
David Brandy - Platinum?
Benjamin L. Dickie - Platinum?
Bruce Gilbank - Platinum?
Mike Martensen - Platinum?

NOTE: From cat: Tim Marks is the first 31 month Diamond in Quixtar's history, the first to reach Diamond level in all of Amway history, to my knowledge.

UPDATE: Here is a video posted in January:

Tom, This is not meant to be an attack, but may I ask? How much do you know about the business to be putting up this blog? I don't see how you could know much about the business and not know who Chuck Goetschel & Tim Marks were or Billy Florence's correct pin was? Just a question. By the way... Why are you trying to post these people's pins? If there were good reason, I might disclose some of them for you. -rbh

ryan,

I registered in Amway in 1996. I've been around for a while. It really depends on what "tapes" your team has been promoting as to who you know. I have heard Chuck Goetschel and Tim Marks and even Bill Florence before (although it has been a while). I would guess they are Diamond, but I wasn't sure and couldn't find any recent information on their pin online. I guess I could have gone through my Amagrams and Acheives, but that may take a while.

I wanted to put down pins to show that these are not just disillusioned Platinums. These are people with large businesses (and large incomes) that have given it all up because "something was not quite right."

Tim Marks is the first 31 month Diamond in Quixtar's history, the first to reach Diamond level in all of Amway history, to my knowledge. I know that for a certainty.

I believe Chuck Goetschel is also a Diamond.

Andy Andrews was also a Diamond. He left with Bo Short, as part of that organization.

There is a website link in the original Quixtar blog about this mess that has a presentation about ex-Diamonds and above and what they are doing now. It's on the same site where there is a video of Andy Andrews discussing tools during the Bo Short conflict. You can find a lot of good information there.

Chuck Cullen -Platinum?
Kirk Birtles - Platinum?
Jim Martin - Platinum?
Aron Radosa - Platinum?

I believe these men were either Sapphires or Emeralds. Yes, all of them. I think the rest of the list were Platinums.

cat,

Can you tell me which ones are Sapphire and which ones are Emerald?

Chris Brady was a Founder's Diamond. Orrin Woodward was a Founder's EDC and a Founder's Ruby outside of that.

Tom, I don't know specific pins, save for: Matt Abraham, who resigned last week. He was a Founder's Emerald. Larry Van Buskirk was a Diamond. Many of the rest who resigned last week were also Sapphires and Emeralds. I am not certain who was what. I was with Team Legacy, and new to Team, so I wasn't too familiar with all the names/faces.

JR Ridinger Double diamond and he left sometime in the 70's.
There have been diamonds leaving off and on for years. JR and a few other Diamonds Helped to establish Old World Products. You young Networkers would not remember that one. In 1992 JR established Market America the first Binomial pay(The Way TEAM taught to build) structure with volume accumulated to infinity. The upline can re-enter in the downline to recapture volume and help there team. He was a true visionary!!
You have to give AMWAY credit. They Have Turn Out Some Great Leaders!!

FYI: Since this whole episode with TEAM has happened, I've been looking at every other Network Marketing opportunity out there. I've been looking for companies that had a large diversity of products and an excellent pay plan. Please keep in mind that I have not signed up with any of them. In fact, I am going to be meeting with another NW this Saturday to look at the details of their plan. Every one of these companies has been chasing me after asking for their information. Now keep in mind, I'm not looking for a start up. I don't have the time to go through those big bumps of the "early days" of a company. So far, I've culled it down to a few companies that meet my criteria. Market America is one of those companies. I've compared each pay plan to the Quixtar pay plan as a bench mark. Do the numbers for yourself. A silver with just 7500 PV with Q divided over two legs equally would result in a Performance Bonus of $1260 on a Business Volume of 21000. Now I know that I am not referring to the annual bonuses that a Platinum might receive because most Platinums do not keep a consistent month to month business and therefore do not qualify for those bonuses. However, with Market America, that same distributor would make over $6000 with that same Business Volume. A Diamond in Q with 6 legs of 100 active people each producing 500 BV each month would make approximately $200,000 per year. That same volume in MA would produce near $800,000. Some difference. However, what I have come to find out is that almost every other MLM that has a diversity of products and is over 5 years old, has a pay plan that makes Q look like pennies. Just my 2 cents worth for your blog. If anyone is interested in what I finally decide, I will be making my final decision by the end of September and you may email me at businessbuilder@bellsouth.net.

To ALL!!!
My name is Ed Manley, I work with Market America, located in Greensboro NC. I have also been a Distributor with Market America since 1995. IT HAS BEEN GOOD!
I need everyone help!!I am here only to furnish information. Anyone from Platinum UP. That would like to interview our Corporate TEAM. Please feel free to contact me directly to schedule an appointment. Dennis Franks is our Executive Vice President, He built his business just like you and I would have to. JR Ridinger, President and Former Double Diamond back in the seventy's,Also earn most of his income building the business. He knows exactly what each and everyone you are going through. He felt your pain!!
They are here to answer any questions and show you what Market America has done to allow even the most average distributor to create a six figure income.
I argued with them in 1995 that it looked too good to be true. 12 Years later, I can tell you this is real and realistic. The numbers do not LIE.
Also, If anyone of you can give me numbers of the top leadership team so I can put them in contact with Dennis, we may be able to come to some arraignment.
I Pray for each one of you on what ever direction you may take.
God Bless and hope to hear from some of you soon!! Ed Manley

Tom,
I need to retract my comments about Don and Ruth Storms. For one, I have been corrected. They were Crowns, NOT Crown Ambassadors. (Yes, I was there when they received recognition for that. I forgot which one it was.)
Second, and more importantly, my source said their source could NOT confirm or remember the original source of the 90 day mention.
Please, for the sake of accuracy, retract this comment!!!
